Vice
President Global Real Estate and Facilities - EMEA
The Vice President of Real Estate & Facility Management is responsible for execution of the strategic
real estate plans, oversight of effective facility management/operations, and optimization of capital assets for their region.
This role is the key liaison with internal executive stakeholders to understand short and long term business requirements
for effective real estate and facility strategy development and implementation. Manages the safety and security of employees
through the implementation of defined security, environmental, health & safety programs. Directs the identification and
implementation of policies and procedures within the organization to ensure alignment and global compliance on both an internal
and external basis.
Responsibilities
Real Estate: Leads and executes real estate transactions including but not limited to, acquisition,
divestiture, leases, sale lease backs and terminations. Works directly with internal executives to understand current and
future business requirements and builds business plans accordingly. Partners with stakeholders in researching and negotiating
real estate deals. Works with Global Portfolio Management lead to develop and present business cases to meet business requirements
through strategic real estate transactions. The portfolio of real estate holdings is in excess of 9 million square feet in
over 150 locations in EMEA.
Facility Management: Oversees the
development and implementation of all facilities management programs and services to ensure optimum functionality of capital
assets. Tracks and reports on space utilization metrics and manages the implementation of best practices through the deployment
of proactive process improvement methodologies.
Project Management/Shared
Services: Oversees the design, construction, and project management consultation for complex projects relative to properties
in the defined region. Oversees the development and implementation of shared service functions. Ensures projects/ programs
meet business requirements on schedule and within prescribed budget and are leveraged across the portfolio.
Financial Management: Prepares, manages and forecasts operating and capital budgets for the portfolio.
Achieves synergy targets and leverages cost-saving programs and initiatives.
Leadership:
Responsible for the supervision, development and coaching of staff. Mentors and develops leaders and key talent within the
Real Estate & Facilities Americas region. Promotes opportunities for knowledge sharing and skill building globally. Ensures compliance with equal employment, diversity and other corporate policies.
Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal environmental and safety regulations, interfacing with local officials
and governmental agencies as required.

This role leads the EMEA region which includes over 9M SF of property
in over 150 locations in and encompasses the Real Estate & Facilities organization EMEA that consists of a team of over
300 employees. Directly manages the Project Management and Shared Services and Facility Management functional leads.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Oversees
and leads the management of operating budgets for EMEA. Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and providing
performance metrics for this region.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration,
Finance or equivalent experience
- Master’s in Business
Administration degree highly desired
- Real Estate Broker’s
license preferred
- Professional registration such as Facilities
Management Administrator (FMA) or Real Estate license a recognized benefit

Comprehensive understanding of all real estate and operational processes associated with a multi location, international organization
- Expertise in the real estate field with strong finance background and
ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy in making decisions and implementing systemic changes
- Thorough understanding of contracts and negotiation relative to the real estate environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial property management, maintenance
and planning
- Experience in optimizing space to ensure effective
productivity and performance of corporate assets in alignment with business requirements and operating plans
- Strong leadership skills, exceptional business and finance acumen, and well-developed interpersonal
skills
- Demonstrated aptitude in effective management of people, developing
talent and leading cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical, organizational
and management competence
- Exceptional verbal and written
communication skills are required; proactive communication skills are a requisite in establishing and maintaining customer
confidence
- Ability to synthesize complex situations into
key components and manage resolution effectively
- Proficiency in establishing
and building client relationships to meet the financial goals of the organization

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and BigE or a comparable property management system is required
- Ability to travel 50%of the time to other Thomson Reuters sites in order to coordinate work activities
and perform management duties
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years
of progressive real estate/ corporate facilities management experience is required.
